Two New Cotons

The last time I wrote, we still had Snowball.  He has since gone to his new home in South Carolina!

Several weeks ago, we had the opportunity to get two Cotons from the same kennel in Indiana that we got Meekamocha from three years ago.  Sadly, the breeder (Tammy) passed away several months ago after a second battle with cancer, and her mom is looking for new homes for the dogs since she is unable to care for all of them.  We were able to get a male and a female.

This is Merida.  She is almost completely black except for a small white patch on her chest.

Merida was bred shortly before we got her, so she is expecting a litter around June 23rd.

She is a very happy, affectionate dog!

And this is King Arthur Pendragon!

He has sired many beautiful puppies.

He is also very happy and LOVES to be held!

Mr. Snowball

Our family just returned back from almost seven weeks overseas.  While we were away, some dear friends house sat and took care of all our animals.  We had expected all our Coton puppies to be in their new homes by the time that we got back, but Snowball is still here … and I think he is the absolute sweetest puppy we have had!  Granted, we usually don't have the puppies when they reach this age of 13 weeks so maybe that has something to do with it :)  But all in all, he is an amazing little fellow!  He is so snuggly and loves to lay on our feet if we aren't holding him.  He is a very quiet puppy and rarely barks … he is content in his crate and is nearly housebroken.  We have fallen in love with him during these past few days that we've been home and are definitely going to miss him when he finds his new family.
